Ricca Newmark Design is a new and unique hospitality design firm that resulted from the merger of Thomas Ricca Associates and Newmark Diercks Design in August of 2001, offering, for the first time, a single professional source for the design of both back-of-house and front-of-house areas of projects. Newmark Diercks Design, in its 10 years before the merger, attained a status as one of the 20 “Interior Design Giants” of Hospitality Design Magazine and became known for being creative and talented designers with the most consistently thorough and complete documentation process in the business. Newmark Diercks Design is an extraordinary blend of creative talent, whose position is unique, by coordinating Architecture and Interior Design to create successful Hospitality and Restaurant spaces that are efficient, classic and enduring.

Since 1973, Thomas Ricca Associates has been one of the leading foodservice design, foodservice consulting, laundry design and laundry consulting firms in the world with projects completed on all 7 continents, all 50 states, and in all major market types. Its 23 national awards are unsurpassed in the industry and are testimony to its focus on designing labor-efficient and revenue-maximizing foodservice facilities. Thomas Ricca Associates has always established the standard for innovation in foodservice design as well as the project process itself.

In 1995, The Ricca Planning Studio was formed to provide comprehensive masterplanning, market research, and management advisory services to the hospitality industry and has grown into one of the leading consulting firms in the country. In 2001, it spun off into independent ownership, and continued its remarkable growth, changing its name to Envision Strategies in 2003. Envision Strategies continues to be closely allied with Ricca Newmark Design. While each of the service formats, specifically interior design, foodservice design, laundry design and management advisory services, can be commissioned as a separate service, the maximum benefits of the firm are achieved in our “Holistic” approach.
