Project Description
Ricca Newmark Design was commissioned to perform culinary and laundry design services for the Boulder Community Hospital. The facility has a total of 265 acute care beds, and is known for its outstanding cardiology services. The cafeteria and foodservice operation provides 3 meals per day. The program will not only include patient meal preparation, but also meeting room catering and cafeteria food preparation.
The foodservice design for this project was prioritized as one of the primary amenities, as quality and response can be judged by patients, staff and visitors. The conceptual design of the foodservice system supports and expands its role in creating a positive impression for the entire hospital.
