GRINNELL COLLEGE
JOE ROSENFELD '25 CENTER
Grinnell, Iowa

Project Description
This state-of-the-art marketplace campus center was sized to allow for the consolidation and replacement of Quad and Cowles Dining Hall. The new dining hall, offering an “all you care to eat” marketplace and a la carte grill, includes an “At Home” station with rotisserie, carved meats and mashed potatoes, made to order Belgian waffles and Eggs, and a wok and vegan station. Spencer Grill is available for early morning coffee and late night snacks. The marketplace is the first effort on the university to incorporate sustainable design into the college’s building process. The silver LEED certified project has achieved significant measures of sustainability, such as improved water and energy efficiency.
