CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN RESORT
Colorado Springs, CO
Project Description
This upscale luxury hotel, located in the picturesque Rocky Mountains of Colorado Springs, has just completed a $20 million renovation that began in May 2010; the first ever property-wide renovation for the award-winning resort. The renovation, in honor of the AAA Four Diamond hotel’s 25th anniversary, encompasses 316 guestrooms, five suites, and 33,670 SF of meeting rooms, ballrooms and common areas.
The resort is known for its diversity and adaptability to host numerous types of events, thus inspiring the meeting rooms and ballrooms to be designed for the versatility of banquets, training sessions and formal events. Each space included a different custom organic carpet pattern to bring a sense of identity to the individual spaces while unifying the overall design concept for the property. These areas were finished with new wall vinyl, custom light fixtures, and state of the art A/V systems with touch control panels.
Upon entering the guestroom, the guest is welcomed by striking nature inspired artwork on an upholstered headboard, enhancing the space to add visual interest and leave a lasting impression. Unique custom furniture designed with the influences of European elegance and Colorado lodge comforts was fabricated with hand-finished precision, creating a refined and luxurious room with an eclectic and high-end residential feeling. The delicate sheer over drapery panels are embroidered with rich, chic natural elements highlighting the windows and allowing the exterior to become an extension of the guestroom space. Simple elegance and the incorporation of functionality were not overlooked in the guestroom; each unique piece of the guestroom plays part to the versatility of the design, adding convenience and peace of mind for the guest.
Whether visiting for a conference, family vacation or romantic getaway, this hotel will provide a space to escape, relax and refresh, while appreciating the Colorado lifestyle experience.
