Every facility that houses guests, including hotels, resorts, boutiques, hospitals, senior housing, and corrections facilities, all have to manage the rotation of clean and soiled linens. When an on-premise laundry facility is warranted, or where linen is outsourced to a local laundry, the rotation, handling and storage of these products has to be planned and organized to protect inventory, linen quality, and staff efficiency.

Laundry Design

Valet and Dry Cleaning Design
When valet services are included in a linen handling program, RND includes the selection of equipment for receiving, marking, cleaning, pressing, folding and packaging guest and staff clothing to insure maximum quality of finish, minimum capital, and maximum efficiency. As a potential profit center for many hotels, the valet system must be designed to provide optimal service at the lowest possible cost.

Uniform Cleaning and Issue
The receipt, cleaning, storage, and issue of uniforms doesn’t have to be a significant bottleneck if it is well located, properly equipped, and designed for minimum attendant labor. RND will design select proper conveying/storage devices, issue systems, sewing and fitting rooms, as well as identify the best possible issue process for staff.
