Ricca Newmark Design has evolved from two generations of professional development. The first generation, from 1973 to 2001, witnessed the birth, growth, and maturation of the two firms that became the seeds for our current company. Both original firms, Thomas Ricca Associates, culinary and laundry design, and Newmark Diercks Design, hospitality interiors, had become recognized leaders in their respective fields.

In 2001, the second generation was born with the merging of the two firms and the rise of Ricca Newmark Design. For the first time, the new firm could offer integrated and holistic design of front and back of house for the emerging concepts of marketplace dining, show kitchens, and the millennial evolution of dining in hospitality, higher education and healthcare.

Today, RND is emerging into a new and exciting generation of design services.  This new generation, which we call Gen3, is the fusion of new definitions of design that can function on their own or blend together for more powerful, more efficient, more focused talent.
